Simmons Bank Arena (formerly known as the Verizon Arena and Alltel Arena) is an 18,000-seat multi-purpose arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas, located directly across the Arkansas River from downtown Little Rock. The arena opened in October 1999 and was beginning to show signs of aesthetic fatigue. As the main entertainment venue in central Arkansas, the new partnership between Simmons Bank and county officials concluded that a facelift was necessary to bring the arena up to the standards of excellence the sponsorship required. The facility is publicly owned by the Multi-Purpose Civic Center Facilities Board of Pulaski County.
In conjunction with the owner and the selected design professional, Paramount Metal Systems was honored to have been awarded this project, which serves as one of the cornerstones of River Market corridor for both Little Rock and North Little Rock.
Paramount’s Retrofit system will provide a practical and architecturally enhancing solution for existing walls that have exceeded their life cycle while adding to the visual appeal of any structure.
